🛑Great video. But, the example you provided for the DPDT switch is not what the switch is made for! It’s unrealistic to wire 4 applications (devices) in one switch just to make each 2 work together separately from the other 2. DPDT is made to be used in an open and closed wiring circut independently and simultaneously, as it can separate both + & - connections. Mostly used in motors to reverse polarity / rotation.

Hi, I have a problem, my e38 equiped with EDC, everything was fine, but after maintenance in suspension, and car was lifted for 3 days, Now It is driving very hard, diagnostic cannot connect to edc module to read trouble codes, any ideas?

Thanks for the clarity of your video. I have a question! I have a single Bakelite two fuse and switch old installation controlling all plugs, lights and appliances. I already bought a 63A RCBO breaker and other three breakers for the correspondent circuits, and I need to install an earth rod. Since I am going to replace this old, unreliable switchboard, can I temporarily wire live and neutral through the 63A RCBO breaker feeding the existing mentioned circuit, until I have proper earthing and run the rest of the wiring?

First of all : THANKS ! This is all I needed to fix this on a F20, the mecanism is exactly the same. Big thumb up for sharing this stuff, it helps, even 6 years later ! For other viewers : I heard a very quiet but very annoying "loose metal/plasticky" things in my B Pillard, PERFECTLY along my left ear and it ran me mad ! When I put my hear next to the B pillard it was very clearly coming from this seatbelt gate. It started out of nowehere, suddenly, I my mind couldn't forget his existance now. So I did what you did. I repurposed the washer sadly, cause I don't know where to buy another one like this, but I bent it a bit and added DIY thin foam washers and put them between every damn moving thing along the screw. I also tightened a bit more than OEM. You won't be surprised by the result : That thing is un-rattlable ! No more noise, end of the story.

Actually, my glasses broke, just like that. I took them to an optics place to have them repaired and the man told me that it was impossible. When I asked why, he said: because there is no access. So I got in here, found your video and liked it. I followed your instructions and I fixed them myself!!! They are not perfect, but they are put together and won't come off. I feel they will tie me over until I get my new prescriptions in a month or two. Thank you so very very much!
